As a Drayage Carrier Sales Representative, you will be responsible for the day to day intermodal operations of a non-asset based transportation and logistics company
Communicate with the sales team and customers to build and maintain ongoing relationships
Manage daily shipment activities, resolving issues to ensure pickup and delivery is on time
Work with the sales team to provide and negotiate competitive pricing and rates
Collaborate with the support team to guarantee each shipment is serviced properly
Assist with billing and accounting responsibilities
Assist in Market Rate development and updates by providing feedback from drayage partners
Create growth initiatives with core drayage partners
Understand growth strategy, goals, commitments, policies, and pain points of assigned accounts or region
Maintain relationships with drayage dispatch contacts
Assign drayage coverage to inbound/outbound loads to include bounce recovery
Utilize IMDL Tracking Exceptions Tab to ensure loads are tracked and updated in timely manner
Qualifications
High School Diploma
Understanding of import, export, and intermodal Drayage
Superior customer service skills
Excellent computer competency
Problem resolution skills, detail-oriented, high level of multi-tasking skills are a must
Possess professional phone mannerisms
Outgoing personality; high energy; flexible
