Customer service including quotes, track and trace, daily operations updates
Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily operations for inbound and/or outbound air freight in collaboration with global offices and sales teams.
Perform multi-directional (import/export) and multi-product tasks in order to effectively service the full scope of customer needs.
Determine method of transportation/shipping and prepare bills/invoices and other documents.
Assist clients in the planning of transit times and routes, receive bookings, and trace lost or misdirected cargo shipments.
Follow operations policies, procedures, standards, including safety procedures/policies for the handling of hazardous material, and ensure compliance with transport regulations.
Document Corrective Actions and ensure Client/Managers/Overseas offices are updated on all exceptions. Troubleshoot all problems to resolution and communicate proactively with all stakeholders including customers.
Communicate rate quotes, export and import restrictions, documentation requirements, etc. to customers as required.
Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in air import operations at a freight forwarding company
Cargowise software experience
Basic IATA Knowledge for airline procedures and requirements of airport GHAd
FAA, TSA Regulations affecting the preparation and tender of freight if onforwarding by air is required
Air Export experience is a plus
General CBP Knowledge and ability to work with in-house brokerage team on procedure
Clearance procedures with the airlines and CFS facilities
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to develop new ideas and innovative solutions
Detail-oriented individual with great communication skills
