Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Daily Forklift inspections, Forklift driver evaluations, Forklift training, employee training, and Haz Material Training to warehouse staff
  • Ensure that all unknown cargo is identified within 24 hours of arrival, warehouse is organized and presentable, and all inspections required are conducted in timely manner and in accordance to the request received 
  • Ensure photos are taken of cargo when required and documented accurately
  • Monitor all warehouse services to ensure they are being performed within the time frame requested by our internal or external customer 
  • Oversee the documentation process is completed in an accurate and timely manner in the WMR, all documentation is properly marked in case of exceptions (SED is Required, DG Goods, Damage Cargo, No Documents), and make sure that warehouse receipt is entered in the Access system within 30 minutes upon delivery of goods
  • Run reports when needed via the operational system
  • Prepare Warehousing Standard Operational Procedures for internal and external customers and/or specific key trade lanes
  • Manage the P&L for warehouse costs (segregation/personnel, supplies, photos), optimize costs per segregation, control warehouse supplies and inventory, coordinate time of operation (opening and closing hours), and ensure that all segregation and warehouse services are properly invoiced 
  • Coordinate trucking with operational team (FCL, Groupages), coordinate FCL Segregation with warehouse staff, and  coordinate ULD/Airline pallet loading
  • Ensure compliance with ID Check/SSI Cargo Acceptance Sheet for drivers via TSA Regulations, driver onboarding, temp works in accordance with TSA Regulations and Hazmat Training, lodge claims in accordance with company policy and for damage and loss cargo, and hold daily meetings with staff at 8:30am
Requirements
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in warehousing and freight forwarding
  • Perform duties that may be assigned by the Branch Manager
  • Able to communicate efficiently written and verbally with employees and customers
  • Must have experience and knowledge of Outlook, and FedEx/UPS proprietary software
  • Forklift experience and certification preferred
  • TSA and HAZ certification
