Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall strategic day-to-day of the Air Export staff
- Apply knowledge and experience of Gateway and Air Export operations
- Supervise and manage the Gateway Export Operations and Air Export staff
- Research and report on relevant Gateway export operations, Export laws, and practices in order to incorporate into department strategy and procedures
- Communicate with customers, vendors, Export related authorities and agencies and internally and externally
- Manage/coordinate with other internal functions including warehouse, sales, etc
- Prepare quotes for key customers or give approval to ones prepared by Sales and Export staff
- Manage warehousing and distribution activities influenced by or reliant upon Export activities
- Communicate with overseas branches regarding special, new, or potential traffic/customers
- Responsible for Account Receivable to ensure unpaid invoices will be paid in timely manner
- Plan/organize the department efforts in order to achieve revenue and cost-saving goals
- 5+ years of experience with Air Export and Gateway operations within a freight forwarding company specifically
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role
- P&L Experience
- Proven track record in sales, operations, and leadership
- Be able to work onsite at the location daily
