Review documentation for import shipments in order to facilitate clearance through U.S. Customs and other government agencies. Enter data into the operating system to transmit ISF and entry information to Customs. Coordinate with carriers to obtain information and track shipment status. Communicate with customers to provide updates on shipments and obtain details necessary for processing shipments. Track shipments via carrier websites and other resources. Address delays and challenges to the import process. Coordinate final delivery to customers with carriers. Update all relevant information and dates in the operating system.
Responsibilities:
Requires excellent customer service and strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and address concerns/delays
Basic understanding of import regulations and entry requirements. Understanding of international cargo movement: air, ocean, rail, truck
Requirements:
1+ years of Import Custom Entry Writing experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Basic working knowledge of Excel
Desk management – organization & management of emails
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Team player
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage desk to defined service levels
Communicate with manager when unable to meet service levels
