Job Description

Job Summary:

The International Operations Coordinator will be responsible for all phases of the operational flow and functionality from quoting through delivery and invoicing. This includes Quoting, Data Entry, Dispatching, Routing, Tracking and Costing of all shipments. Departmental Compliance to all company policies and procedures is required as well as adherence to all US and international regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be proficient in at least two modes of international logistics (i.e., Air Export, Air Import, Ocean Export, Ocean Import)
  • Should have total understanding of all service levels and their importance
  • Able to back up any position within the department as necessary
  • Must be proficient router with proper understanding of lane segments/service/cost
  • Assist in producing required shipping documents for both Imports and Exports
  • Assist in developing and overseeing department and client KPI's
  • Help support/formulate quotes, sales tariffs and required projects
  • Must have excellent Import/Export Compliance Knowledge
  • Manage and Monitor on time performance
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners, clients, and internal personnel for feedback and improvement opportunities
  • Train and develop co-workers in all phases of international operations
  • Communicate with foreign partners for shipment coordination
  • Assists International Supervisor in collaborating with our Account Managers and Sales Representatives to maintain customer profile
  • Assists International Supervisor with answering questions or inquiries regarding shipments and resolve problems
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years of related experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to make creative, timely and independent decisions
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • May require fluency in English and Spanish depending on job location and/or customer accounts
