Job Description
The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for managing complex account relationships for the
organization’s top multi-national customers. You will ensure excellent customer service and
communications are maintained to achieve sales and profit objectives. You will also identify new business
opportunities as they relate to our Logistics service offerings.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor service performance levels for key clients by developing job performance dashboards• Work with our internal team to track and achieve annual sales and profit goals for assigned
accounts
• Work with client and internal team to resolve urgent or ongoing issues, and to find new ways to
assist in supply chain optimization
• Perform ongoing account reviews such as QBRs and regular KPI reporting
• Support and assist business development team throughout sales cycle (RFI, RFP, RFQ)
• Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all accounts
• Work with internal teams to manage Accounts Receivable process for your clients
• Audit client invoices to seek out mutually beneficial cost reductions and efficiencies, while
ensuring accounts are meeting target financial margins
• Maintain and develop relationships, and understand specific client needs and objectives to
provide solutions to meet those objectives
• Respond to complex and sensitive logistical issues and questions; create innovative and profitable
solutions to meet unique needs
• Keep management and customers apprised of project or problem status, handling and resolution
• Investigate service failures and ensure that appropriate remedial actions are put in place
Required Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a high-touch and proactive customer service approach
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple high-level projects at once
• Knowledge of MS Office with emphasis on Word, Excel and Outlook
• Detail orientation and strong ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent reasoning, negotiation and listening skills
• Ability to function autonomously and use good judgment in a diverse, global environment
