Job Description

The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coordination of the customs compliance of inbound goods into the NA and EU distribution centers. This position will be hybrid, 2 days in the office weekly, after 6 weeks of training. Flexible working schedule as long as the work is getting done, no weekend hours required!

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with Customs Tariff classifications and required Trade documents to all merchandise to be imported or exported worldwide based on Customs regulations and GRIs
  • PGA knowledge - FDA (product code building, hold and exam handling), Fish & Wildlife, USDA, CPSC
  • Audit Customs entries (import to US, EU, export to Canada, PR and VI)
  • ADD / CVD knowledge
  • Daily communication with foreign suppliers, internal customer and brokers
  • Audit Customs entries (import to US, EU, export to Canada, PR and VI)
  • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining programs, policies, procedures and controls to ensure company-wide compliance with Global Trade compliance programs
  • Keep abreast of Global Trade requirements
  • Assist in maintaining import landed cost databases.
  • ACE reporting capabilities
  • Post entry corrections
Requirements:
  • 2+ years’ experience an Importer, Freight Forwarder, or Customs House Broker
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of US Customs Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Government Agency Import/Export regulations, International Trade regulations, carrier operations, and modes of transportation
  • Knowledge of Foreign Trade Regulations and process
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
