The Supply Planner will be responsible for developing and communicating inbound material inventory strategy, managing inventory flow between the plants and warehouses, and monitoring inventory levels and criteria to assure they are appropriate to meet production requirements and space constraints.  The planner will provide forward visibility, working synergistically with their Production Planner teammates and Purchasing to meet the needs of our fast growing international company.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manager always
• Develop raw material supply plans that meet production needs and inventory targets
• Work with the Purchasing team when supplier capabilities are not in line with manufacturing needs
• Work with Transportation and Purchasing to match the receiving workload with the docks’ resources
• Analyze data and evaluate stock levels to determine reasons for inventory level fluctuations
• Monitor, manage, and report slow moving inventory
• Work effectively with internal partners to proactively identify and resolve supply pipeline issues to ensure no impact to our customers
• Complete other activities as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 2+ years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Knowledge and previous usage of MRP and/or ERP is preferred
• Detail oriented with strong math, analytical and Microsoft Excel spreadsheet construction skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and develop consensus with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to make good decisions with limited information
• Occasional non-overnight travel required
• Ability to contribute immediately in this newly created position
